Just letting you all know, they've been doing roadwork for eons now on Belair Rd between Joppa Rd, and Rossville Blvd, Southbound lanes. They have the lanes so screwed up, it's like riding a dirt bike over them. I can't believe that the county has allowed the construction company to leave the road in such a condition. Also, Joppa Rd is the pits, as well from Belair Rd over to Harford Rd. The road is in very bad shape there, and the "ditches" that span across the whole road is enough to send you to the chiropracter. It's pretty bad when I even avoid these roads in the truck. If you're on the bike traveling RT1 south, your best bet is to be in the left lane, hugging the yellow line, which possesses it's own dangers. Ride Safe, all!

As of June 2010, this route still sucks.
